Starter clicks but no crank
Webb31 jan. 2012 · It doesn't crank. Thinking it was possibly the batteries I bought two brand new ones last night. Same problem. All the truck does is CLICK. I checked the interior fuse box and engine fuse box an d all fuses look good. When you crank they should both go to 12V and therefor 0V between them. Maybe something is wrong on the signal circuit for the hold in coil. Like the starter relay (top left module in the diag). A

If there is no starter motor operation at all, that is if there is no starter operation with the key held in the "start" position, the procedure is to test for power to the starter motor. If system voltage is too low the computer won't send any current to the solenoid. So the lights stay bright instead of suddenly getting dim and you getting that click-click-click sound.
