PCN presenting with worrisome features (presence of mural nodules greater than 5 mm and cyst size> 3 cm), are at increased risk for malignancy [2–4]. WebSmall (Sendai negative) branch-duct IPMNs: not harmless Although many branch-duct IPMNs are small and asymptomatic, they harbor a significant risk of malignancy. We believe that both main-duct and branch-duct IPMNs represent premalignant lesions. This should be taken into account for adequate therapeutic management.
