Go ahead and break a hole to the nether and put ladders in it with an iron trapdoor on top with a button. WebDivide the coordinates (X and Z) of your Nether portal by eight (since the Nether and Overworld have a difference of eight blocks). Round the number to get a whole coordinate. Go into the Nether and travel to those coordinates. Create a new portal on those exact coordinates and your portals will be linked.
